Who I am

Let me introduce myself. My name is Marc Fowler. I’m in my early thirties and have lived in and around Woodbridge, Suffolk, England since 1994. In 2015 I moved to Martlesham Heath, between Ipswich and Woodbridge.

By now you’ll have worked out roughly what I do for a living. You can read more about that on the next page, What I do, but if you want to know more about me first, read on.

I am one of what was really the first generation to grow up around personal computers in the home. Some of my earliest memories are of playing extremely basic educational games on my father’s first computer. As a result, I became very used to computers and similar technologies from a very early age. I’ve become very good at using computers in a variety of ways, and am very successful when it comes to solving computer problems.

I am pleased to say though, that computers and technology are not all I’m about. Unlike some computer experts, I am a very sociable person with interests in many different areas. I am a Christian and attend St Michael's Church in Martlesham Heath, having previously worshipped at Colchester Road Baptist Church in Ipswich, and St John’s Church in Woodbridge where I met and married my wife. I am also a keen motorcyclist, actively involved with the Suffolk branch of the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

In 2004, along with other local supporters of Fairtrade, I campaiged to achieve Fairtrade Town Status for Woodbridge, promoting the sale of Fairtrade products around the town. I'm pleased to say we achieved our goal in February 2008. (See our Fairtrade For Woodbridge website for details)

I won't go any more, except to say that I’m told I am a very friendly man who people find easy to get on with.
