Personal Computer Support From Marc Fowler

Installing software

Installing new software is always an interesting task. For most people it’s the first step towards enjoying that new program they’ve bought and looked forward to using. There can be a mild sense of excitement and anticipation as they insert the CD and wait for the installation wizard to appear. All they need to do is click ‘Next’ or ‘Ok’ a few times and they’ll be enjoying their new program before the kettle’s boiled.

Unfortunately, it’s not always that easy. There are all sorts of things that can cause problems when installing new software, from CDs not opening to bizarre error messages that make no sense at all. What was supposed to be a simple and positive start to using a new purchase can quickly turn into a real nightmare, wasting lots of time and causing a great deal of frustration.

Again, this is where I can come in. If you’ve been having problems installing something, or would simply rather someone else did it for you, I’m your man. I’ve installed countless programs on countless computers, and know more about the best procedures than most. In most cases of errors, I can diagnose them and fix the problems, enabling you to get on with enjoying what you’ve paid good money for.

Take the stress out of those troublesome installs – get me round.
